Jennie Kim
Jennie Kim (Korean: 김제니), known mononymously as Jennie, is a South Korean singer, rapper, songwriter, and actress. Born on January 16, 1996, in Cheongdam-dong, South Korea, Jennie rose to international fame as a member of the girl group Blackpink, which was formed by YG Entertainment.
Jennie spent her early years in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul, and later moved to Auckland, New Zealand at the age of eight. During her time in New Zealand, she attended school and developed a keen interest in music and dance. Her return to South Korea marked the beginning of her formal training with YG Entertainment, where she joined as a trainee at the age of 14.
Jennie debuted with Blackpink in 2016 alongside members Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa. The group quickly gained global popularity, becoming one of the most successful girl groups internationally. Known for their dynamic performances and catchy music, Blackpink has released numerous hit singles and albums, contributing significantly to the global spread of K-pop.
