The Mumbai-Pune Expressway, officially known as the Yashwantrao Chavan Expressway, is a pivotal infrastructure project in India. The Mumbai-Pune Expressway was conceived to reduce congestion on the older National Highway 4, which was strained under the burgeoning traffic between two of Maharashtra's most significant cities. This expressway was inaugurated in 2002 and spans approximately 94.5 kilometers (58.7 miles).
