The Sepang International Circuit (Malay: Litar Antarabangsa Sepang), known commercially as the Petronas Sepang International Circuit, is a renowned motorsport race track located in Sepang, Selangor, Malaysia. The circuit is strategically positioned approximately 45 kilometers (28 miles) south of Kuala Lumpur, in proximity to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

The circuit was designed by the acclaimed German architect Hermann Tilke, who is recognized for designing other famous circuits in Shanghai, Sakhir, Istanbul, Marina Bay, and Yas Marina. The Sepang International Circuit was part of a series of significant infrastructure projects initiated in the 1990s during the administration of Mahathir Mohamad, Malaysia's then Prime Minister. The construction was completed between 1997 and 1999, with the primary intent of hosting the Malaysian Grand Prix.
