William Arthur Philip Louis, born on June 21, 1982, is a senior member of the British royal family. He is the elder son of Charles III and the late Diana, Princess of Wales, making him second in the line to the British throne. Prince William was bestowed the title Duke of Cambridge by his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, upon his marriage to Catherine Middleton.
Early Life and Education
Prince William was born at St Mary's Hospital, London, and was baptized in the Music Room of Buckingham Palace. He attended several independent schools, starting with Jane Mynors' nursery school, followed by Wetherby School, and then Ludgrove School. William later studied at Eton College, where he completed his A-Levels in geography, biology, and history of art.
Following a gap year, William attended the University of St Andrews, where he met his future wife. He graduated with a degree in geography in 2005.
Military Career
Prince William pursued a military career, following in the footsteps of many British royals. He trained at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and was commissioned as a lieutenant in the Blues and Royals regiment.
