The Ministry of Home Affairs, known in Malay as Kementerian Dalam Negeri (KDN) and in Jawi as كمنترين دالم نڬري, is a pivotal governmental body in Malaysia responsible for the management and regulation of internal state affairs. The ministry's broad mandate covers numerous critical domains such as law enforcement, public security, immigration, population registry, and foreign worker management.
Functions and Responsibilities
The Ministry of Home Affairs is tasked with maintaining public order and security within Malaysia. This encompasses a variety of sectors including the regulation of societies, anti-drug efforts, and the management of printed materials. The ministry plays a crucial role in the film censorship and distribution, ensuring that media conforms to Malaysia's cultural and legal standards.
