Michelle Trachtenberg
Michelle Christine Trachtenberg (October 11, 1985 – February 26, 2025) was a prominent American actress. Known for her versatility and enduring presence in the entertainment industry, Trachtenberg began her illustrious career at the tender age of three, starring in commercials that laid the groundwork for her future success.
Trachtenberg was born in New York City to Lana, a bank manager, and Michael Trachtenberg, a fiber-optics manager. Her interest in acting was cultivated early, leading her to the Nickelodeon series The Adventures of Pete & Pete (1994–1996), where she made her television debut.
Michelle Trachtenberg achieved widespread recognition through her role as Dawn Summers in the critically acclaimed series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Her portrayal of the character, the younger sister of the titular Buffy (played by Sarah Michelle Gellar), earned her a dedicated fanbase. Trachtenberg also hosted the Discovery Kids series Truth or Scare from 2001 to 2003, a role that garnered her a Daytime Emmy Award nomination.
Her film career includes noteworthy performances such as the lead in Ice Princess and appearances in teen comedies like EuroTrip.
