Burrard Peninsula

The Burrard Peninsula section of Marine Drive serves as a crucial passage, beginning at West 4th Avenue in the West Point Grey neighborhood of Vancouver. The road travels north as a collector road to Jericho Beach, then turns west, closely following the south shore of the Burrard Inlet. This picturesque route passes notable locations such as Locarno Beach and Spanish Banks.

Continuing westward, the road exits Vancouver, entering the University Endowment Lands, and passes through the lush environments of Pacific Spirit Regional Park. At the western edge of Point Grey, near the renowned Wreck Beach, it transitions into Southwest Marine Drive near the Totem Park student residences.

Southwest Marine Drive proceeds past the UBC Botanical Garden and heads south-southeast. It becomes an arterial road as it exits the University of British Columbia campus, passing through Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club and re-entering Vancouver within the Dunbar-Southlands neighborhood.
