Laver Cup
The Laver Cup is an international indoor hard court men's team tennis tournament, established in 2017. It pits Team Europe against Team World, the latter being composed of players from continents outside of Europe. Named after Rod Laver, one of the sport's all-time greats, the tournament was conceptualized by Roger Federer and his management company, Team8.
Format
The tournament spans three days, featuring singles and doubles matches. Each day, the matches increase in value, with Day 1 victories worth one point, Day 2 worth two points, and Day 3 worth three points. The first team to reach 13 points out of a possible 24 wins the Laver Cup. In the event of a 12-12 tie, a deciding doubles match is played.
