Isfahan University of Medical Sciences
Isfahan University of Medical Sciences (IUMS), also referred to as Medical University of Isfahan (MUI), is a prominent institution located in Isfahan, Iran. Established after a bifurcation in 1985 from the general University of Isfahan, IUMS is dedicated to the field of medical sciences.
History and Establishment
The origins of IUMS can be traced back to the broader educational framework of the University of Isfahan, which was founded in October 1950. By 1985, the growth and demand for specialized medical education led to the creation of a separate entity dedicated solely to medical sciences, thereby establishing IUMS as an independent university.

As of 2020, Isfahan University of Medical Sciences hosts fourteen faculties dedicated to various aspects of medical education and research.
