Metro Vancouver Regional District

The Metro Vancouver Regional District (MVRD), formerly known as the Greater Vancouver Regional District, is a key administrative and strategic entity that governs the metropolitan area of Greater Vancouver. It is one of the 28 regional districts in British Columbia, Canada. The region encapsulated by the MVRD is roughly synonymous with what is commonly referred to as Greater Vancouver.
