Early Life and Education
Devendra Fadnavis hails from a politically active family in Nagpur, Maharashtra. He is an alumnus of the Nagpur University, where he completed his education in Law. This academic background laid the foundation for his entry into politics, supported by his involvement with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a significant socio-cultural organization in India.
Political Career
Fadnavis's political journey commenced at a young age when he became a member of the BJP and held various positions within the party's youth wing, the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM). Devendra Fadnavis first assumed the office of the Chief Minister of Maharashtra on 31 October 2014. His tenure was noted for efforts to combat corruption and improve infrastructure within the state.
