Cupra Formentor

Cupra Formentor

The Cupra Formentor is a compact crossover SUV that represents the first model exclusively developed by Cupra. This performance-oriented vehicle falls under the umbrella of SEAT and is part of the Volkswagen Group, utilizing the MQB platform which is shared with various other models across the group.

Design and Features

The Cupra Formentor boasts a distinctive design that reflects its sporty and luxurious character. The exterior features options such as Full LEDs and the advanced CUPRA Matrix LED Ultra technology, which not only enhance visibility but also reduce glare. The car's signature light welcome ceremony and a redesigned grille with integrated logo and fog lamps add to its appeal.

The interior of the Formentor offers multiple editions to suit different tastes, including Tribe Edition, Extreme, Progressive Design, and Sharp. This allows for customization in terms of color and alloy wheels, providing a personal touch to the vehicle's aesthetic.

Performance

Performance is at the heart of the Cupra Formentor, especially highlighted in its VZ5 model. This version is equipped with a powerful five-cylinder engine, making it the most potent car in the Cupra lineup. The Copper Diagonal exhaust pipes and the new VZ5 insignia not only improve performance but also enhance the vehicle's road presence.

Cupra and SEAT

Cupra operates as the performance branch of SEAT, with a focus on delivering high-performance vehicles. While many Cupra models are based on SEAT vehicles, the Formentor is unique as it is the first model developed solely under the Cupra marque. Other models in the Cupra lineup include the Cupra Ateca and the electric Cupra Born.

Future Models

Cupra continues to expand its offerings, with upcoming models like the Cupra Tavascan, a battery-electric crossover, and the Cupra Terramar, another addition to the crossover segment, expected to make a significant impact in the automotive market.
