The Autonomous University of Barcelona (Catalan: Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona; Spanish: Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona) is a prominent public university located primarily in Cerdanyola del Vallès, near the vibrant city of Barcelona in Catalonia, Spain. Established by legislative decree on 6 June 1968, the institution has grown to become one of the leading academic hubs in the country.
