Vietnam Airlines is the flag carrier of Vietnam. Founded in 1956, this airline has grown to become a significant player in the aviation industry, especially in the Southeast Asian region. From the early 1990s, Vietnam Airlines faced hurdles typical of carriers in developing countries. However, it managed to overcome these obstacles and began expanding its network. Today, the airline operates 117 routes across 19 countries, excluding its codeshared services, touching various international and domestic destinations.
