Steve Wozniak

Stephen Gary Wozniak, commonly known as Woz, is a prominent American technology entrepreneur, electrical engineer, computer programmer, and inventor. Early Life and Education

Wozniak was born in San Jose, California. His mother, Margaret Louise Wozniak (née Kern), hailed from Washington state, while his father, Francis Jacob "Jerry" Wozniak, worked as an engineer for the Lockheed Corporation. Wozniak graduated from Homestead High School in Cupertino, California in 1968. He has a brother, Mark Wozniak, a former technology executive residing in Menlo Park, California.

Co-founding Apple Inc.

In 1976, Wozniak co-founded Apple Computer Company with Steve Jobs and Ronald Wayne. The trio's first significant product was the Apple I, an 8-bit personal computer designed by Wozniak, which marked the entry of Apple into the burgeoning personal computer market. Following the success of the Apple I, Wozniak played a crucial role in designing the Apple II, one of the first highly successful mass-produced microcomputers.
