Serra Mesa is a vibrant community located in San Diego, California. It is strategically positioned between two major interstate highways, Interstate 805 and Interstate 15, providing easy access to various parts of the city. The neighborhood is bordered by Friars Road to the south and Aero Drive to the north.

The community received its name in part from the nearby Mission Basilica San Diego de Alcalá, established by the Franciscan friar Junípero Serra.
