Greig Pickhaver
Gordon Greig Pickhaver AM (born 10 February 1948) is a renowned Australian actor, comedian, and writer, best known for his role as one half of the satirical sports comedy duo Roy and HG. He performs as the excitable sports announcer "HG Nelson", partnering with John Doyle, who plays "'Rampaging' Roy Slaven".
Early Life and Education
Pickhaver was born at Walwa private hospital in Myrtle Bank, South Australia. He is the son of Gordon Samuel Pickhaver, a World War II veteran who served in the Middle East and on the Kokoda Track, and Beryl Marion Rebecca Pickhaver née Skuce. Greig Pickhaver grew up in a family with three sisters—Jane, Anne, and Mary—and a brother, Mark.
He spent his early years living on Morphett Road in Warradale, South Australia, before moving with his family to the suburb of Prospect at age 15. He completed his primary education at Oaklands Park Primary School and attended Brighton Secondary School before finishing his high school education at Adelaide High School.

Roy and HG
Pickhaver's career took a significant turn when he teamed up with John Doyle in 1986. Together, they created the comedy duo Roy and HG, which became a staple in Australian entertainment with their satirical take on sports commentary.
