Geography
Greece is situated at the crossroads of Europe, Asia, and Africa, bordered by Albania, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, and Turkey. Its territory includes a mountainous mainland and an archipelago of approximately 6,000 islands and islets scattered in the Aegean Sea, Ionian Sea, and the Mediterranean Sea. History
The history of Greece is long and diverse, stretching back thousands of years. Notably, the Ancient Greek civilization emerged after the decline of the Mycenaean civilization around 1200 BCE.
