Chace Crawford
Christopher Chace Crawford (born July 18, 1985) is an American actor known for his diverse roles in both television and film. Recognized widely for his role as Nate Archibald on the CW's drama series Gossip Girl, Crawford has built a distinguished career characterized by a range of performances that showcase his versatility as an actor.
Early Life
Chace Crawford was born in Lubbock, Texas to Dana (Plott), a teacher, and Chris Wayne Crawford, a dermatologist. He grew up in Plano, Texas, and has a younger sister, Candice Crawford Romo, who studied broadcast journalism and won the Miss Missouri USA title in 2008.
His journey into acting began after a career aptitude test in high school suggested he was best suited for the performing arts. After being signed by the first talent agent he met, Crawford committed himself to full-time acting studies.
Career
Chace Crawford's breakthrough role came in 2006 with a part in Lifetime's television movie Long Lost Son, portraying the son of Gabrielle Anwar's character. That same year, he co-starred in the horror/thriller film The Covenant alongside Steven Strait, Taylor Kitsch, Sebastian Stan, and Toby Hemingway.
In 2007, Crawford landed the role of Nate Archibald in the popular series Gossip Girl, acting alongside Penn Badgley, Leighton Meester, and Ed Westwick. His character became a fan favorite, cementing his status as a household name.
