Zayed International Airport (Arabic: مطار زايد الدولي; IATA: AUH, ICAO: OMAA), historically known as Abu Dhabi International Airport, is the primary international airport serving Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. Renamed in February 2024 in honor of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE's founding father and first President, it stands as a significant air transport hub in the region.
Situated approximately 19 miles east of Abu Dhabi, Zayed International Airport is built over an extensive area of 15,000 acres (6,000 hectares). It is the second busiest airport in the UAE, following Dubai International Airport, and is one of the busiest in the Middle East.
